No matter how much we hear about the marvels of Israeli medicine, it never ceases to astonish and inspire us all over again.
Today marks seven years since my husband underwent surgery to remove a malignant brain tumor called glioblastoma multiforme (GBM)—a procedure performed by Prof. Zvi Cohen, Director of the Oncological Neurosurgery Unit Sheba Medical Center, Tel Hashomer.
What followed was an arduous journey, a time teetering between life and death, between clinging to hope and facing harsh statistics.
In January 2018, Dr. Lior Zach, who specializes in Clinical Oncology and Radiotherapy, introduced us to the Optune system by Novocure. This groundbreaking technology was the brainchild of Prof. Yoram Palti, who later received the Israel Prize for his extraordinary entrepreneurship and innovation.
Seven years have passed since then.
Seven years of defying the odds.
Seven years of growth and prosperity.
My husband, the father of our children, is alive today!
Thank you to all who took part in our family's journey and supported us ❤️
