Switch Science, Inc.. Ltd. released what is reportedly the world's first portable quantum computers:
The first: is the Gemini Mini for 1,188,000 million yen.
The second: is Gemini for 5.72 million yen.
The third: is Triangulum for 7.92 million yen.
SpinQ Technology Inc. develops in Shenzhen, China, starting at $8,700.
The PC Watch, Gemini Mini, and Gemini are 2-qubit quantum desktop computers, while the Triangulum has up to 3 qubits, a term that refers to quantum bits or units of quantum information.
Quantum computing is a form that uses quantum-mechanical phenomena, such as superposition and entanglement, to perform operations on data.
They differ from traditional transistor-based computers in that conventional computers require encoding data into binary digits (ie, bits), each of which is always in one of two defined states (0 or 1). Still, quantum computing uses quantum—bits, which can be in superpositions of states.
More than 80 companies have invested in quantum computing, according to shared lists that include well-known names such as IBM, Google, Intel, and Microsoft.
According to the Windows manufacturer, Microsoft is responsible for Azure Quantum, a quantum cloud computing service that unites the most innovative quantum computing and optimization solutions into one cloud service.
